She talks about her role in the Traditional Music and Song Association and its work and influence; the negative attitude of fiddle and accordion club members towards what they perceive as folk music; traditional music in the school curriculum; the taste for Irish music amongst Scottish folk instrumentalists; the revival of unaccompanied singing, and some individual singers; the value of singing competitions; and folk clubs, in particular ones she has been involved in running, in Perth and Glenfarg.
