Summary - A trow was caught drunk in a house on Yell one Christmas morning.

A trow [troll, fairy] was in the habit of visiting all the houses in Yell at Christmas, spending one night in North Yell, the next in South Yell. If he found drink in a house, then he drank it. On one occasion he drank too much, and was found lying on the ben [inner room i.e. bedroom] window ledge. The people went to grip him, but two couldn't hold him. He threatened to kill them if they got a hold of him, and fled for the north.
