Summary - How the fox outwitted the wolf.

A fox and a wolf found a cask full of butter at the shore. They buried it in the sand. The fox went out several times, saying he was going to a christening. When they returned to check on the cask, it was empty. The wolf realised the fox had eaten it. On the way home the wolf saw the full moon reflected in a peat bog. The fox said it was a round of cheese and that the wolf could fish it out with his tail. He put his tail in the water and it was such a cold night that the water froze and he was trapped. The fox summoned all the animals around and they tore the wolf to pieces.

The contributor heard this story from his mother.
